Since the PN debacle (or not which ever way you look at it) there is a
strong possibility that I will once again be looking for another ISP...

Which will lead to yet another change in email addresses..

Can anybody recommend any companies which (for the correct price) lease
me a UK domain with email relaying, don't need any web hosting or such
(at the present moment)...

TIA

B-)

JUNK is stuff that you keep for 20 years,
then throw away a week before you need it.

There's lots of them around. I normally use the provider that looks
after my hosting account but, just for a change, I recently registered a
..me.uk domain through

http://www.ukreg.com/

It costs 3 quid a year but provides a reasonable control panel and, so
far anyway, seems to work without problem.

I've been using http://www.123-reg.co.uk/ for more than three years
without any problems. Does .uk domains for £2.59+VAT per year, min
two years, including email and web address forwarding.

It is owned by Pipex.

I'll second UKReg

If you then want to upgrade to a full email service their sister
company FastHosts provides a very good email only service for £15 a
year - 2 x 100MB mailboxes, 5 x 20MB mailboxes, 5 x forwarders, pop3
and webmail

Kraftee,

I use http://www.lowcostnames.co.uk/ for mine. £7.50 for 2 years
includes web and email forwarding.

I generally wouldn't bother with a .uk (Nominet is one of the more burocratic
of registration authorities, cannot handle anything more than 2 years and use
IPSTAG, which is just cause of more nuisance, IMHO). However 123-reg.co.uk or
ukreg.com will get you a domain name. You might try www.zoneedit.com if your
needs are limited (it offers free web / mail forwarding or full DNS service).

..info is about 2 quid a year, if you look around, and can be registered 1-10
years, with proper 'whois' protection from listing. Try www.RegisterFly.com

I use 123-reg.co.uk for this very purpose - cheap domain registering
(something like GBP2.50pa for a co.uk address), with email and web
forwarding thrown in.

Been using them for about five years and only ever had one minor drama
with them when somehow a .co.uk domain I registered failed to get added
to their database .

A email to them a day or two later and it was quickly sorted .
