Domain with catch-all forwarding

I use a domain with 'catchall' email forwarding, so that I can have a
static email address that survives a change of ISP.

Currently with LCN, but they are going to kill off catchall functionality.

Anybody know of a good [low-cost] alternative?

Yes, I was thinking of them but... any comments on this?

Those issues are to do with web hosting. If you just want DNS hosting then
they are fine. I've had a number of domains hosted with them for a couple of
years with no issues.

Yes - when Pipex (who own them) changed their hosting (around that time
actually) they didn't bother to tell me they had changed the ftp server
I needed to log on to in order to update my site.

I was able to log on to the "old" copy of the site and update it as
though everything was normal - it just didn't update the pages their
server was handing out.

It took me about 6-8 weeks of correspondence before they actually told
me. Really f*cking impressive.

Having said that, i've had no issues with the email redirection. Yet.

They do have a fairly small limit on the maximum size of any e-mail
they will forward though - about 5MByte as I recall.

Unfortunately I think you will find that most hosts are going to kill off
catchall email addresses. It is thanks to the spammer prats. Once they
find that an email address is catchall, they keep changing the bit before
the @ to fool spam filters.

I use www.easily.co.uk who give a catchall at the moment but I would be
prepared if I was you for anyone you move your domain to do the same.

We are with 123-reg and get upwards of 600 spams a day (increasing
steadily) due to the catch-all. I now have it set to send all the
permutations to a email address that we never bother collection, and
just allow ones addressed to one specific name to be forwarded to my
inbox.

No. that's not due to the catchall. It's because your domain address has
got into the hands of the arseholes. I don't have those problems with my
several domains [yet] - I only give them to trusted correspondents. All
unknown outfits get a disposable address from sneakemail or spamhole.
