does WinPE support gigabit ethernet?

putting together a deployment infrastructure which transfers large disk
image files (WIMs) so I assumed the faster the better for the network
infrastructure but then it occured to me whether or not gigabit would even
be supported in WinPE, which is the environment that is active when
transfering the image files over the network.

WinPE has a limited set of drivers, which is unfortunate, as it is
supposed to be working with WDS (the successor to RIS).

Drivers can be 'injected' however:
