Does WEP Slow Things Down

I have a wired and wireless network at home and I am messing around with an
Axis 2100 Network Camera. I bought the Wireless link for it at the same
time. It works very well but I was just wondering. If I set WEP up on the
camera link will this slow the video down as I presume WEP encrypts things
on the fly. Would I be best to turn WEP off and just use MAC address
filtering. Its a little difficult to judge the speed when testing locally as
everything is at either 100mbs or 11mbs and this is a lot faster than my
Satellite Broadband link!

Thanx John

Obviously encrypting and decrypting takes a little bit of time, but probably
not enough to notice.
Wouldn't have though you need to encrypt the pics unless....

Whatever the motive (..) another point is that the Axis can be configured to
utilise lower bandwidth by reducing the stream rates, frame count and
resolution. Unless for some reason you just have to have full motion VGA
streams..
