Does a broadband account need to be in the same name as that of the
telephone account holder?

The phone bill in my flat is in the name of the landlord, but I'd like
to open up a broadband account, and I'm not sure if the landlord would
be willing to have this in his name..

David.

It is supposed to be - but a number of ISP's don't bother to check -
or when they feed the order to BT it isn't checked. I have a number
of ADSL circuits in different names to the owner of the line and it
hasn't been a problem.

Suggest you check why there is a suspicious attachment to your post. A worm
perhaps?

No, I think it's the fault of your newsreader which misinterprets the
"begin" in the posters signature.

I see no attachment, suspicious or otherwise.
See his site http://web.viewport.co.uk/doze/outbreak on why OE thinks
that there is an attachment

Suggest you check why you think there is a suspicious attachment to his
post. A broken newsreader perhaps?
