How does AFD.Sys assign Source Ip?

How does AFD.SYS decide to use the Source IP address on the packet? We i
have multi-homed network and both the IP address on the host are in the same
subnet. We appliacation does not BIND, then which/How IP address is selected
by AFD.SYS to send the packet from the host?

IP ROUTE module in the stack then take cares of the routing using the
correct local interface. IP routing uses the ROUTE table to route the
packet? What does AFD,SYS uses to select the Source IP address?
