Hi On my main server pc, windows xp home i have the main C:/ drive shared, I can go into Documents & Settings and go into my directory and the guest directory. but i am unable to access other (Users with guest privelages) it will only work when i individually share each directory. I have administrative privilages on both machines.

Is there a way to get round this?

Both machines are on NTFS permissions.

Kind Regards,

Carl

Its to do with file permissions and its a PITA
Either log onto the remote PC as a local admin over the network (ie from
the machine you want to access those files on), or make sure
username/password combos match, or......

Disable simple file sharing, and de-restrict the permissions set for the
sub-folders of the documents and settings folder
Its not fun and its not pretty. specially when you are doing it to 50 or
so machines (been there, done that, different reason)
