You should be able to. Check the manual.

there is nothing in the manual that i can see. there is no way in the set up
pages to shut it off completely.

A somewhat lame suggestion perhaps, but what about unscrewing the
antenna(s)?

that's not lame really, but you can't. they are non removable, lol. (((
The manual and readmes say that they are non removable, i think even the box
does too. which sucks cus if wanted better reception or signal, i might
wanna get better antennas someday.

I still am going over the 91 page manual tonight to see if it mentions
anything. i have not looked yet to be honest even if i might have said i
did, im sorry. i just 99.9% sure it won't say anything how to shut it off
totally.

Buy a can of Pringles (potato chips - I'm assuming you are in the US) eat
the chips or feed them to the wife and or kids. Wipe the grease out of the
can with a paper towel or damp soapy towel, but damp, not soaking. Drop
empty can such that the antenna is inside the can. Won't completely kill
the signal, but a reciever will need to be REALLY close to 'see' it.

Basically the metal cylinder should block the signal from getting out.

yeah the manuall doesn't talk about shutting it off totally nor do the set
up pages. i can't belive in routers wireless at least this one, there's no
way to turn it off.

Running the wireless "radio" without an antenna is probably a poor idea.
It's bad for a radio transmitter to run without a load. It may damage the
unit, and it will still emit a signal, but the signal will be unpredictable
and probably on illegal frequencies (harmonics).

Logic probably is, with 'wired' routers at next to nothing these days, why
would someone buy a wireless one and not want the radio...
