How do you ping a server to find out if it is listening on a specific port

Hey everybody,

I want to ping a Windows 2003 server to determine if it
is listening on a specific port and I forget the command
to do it.

Its something like: Ping 10.170.8.23 : 80???

Please let me know what the command is to ping a server
and deterine if it is listening on a specific port.

You'd use telnet, not ping.....
