Hi, been on pipex for a month or two now, heard people mention using a
"free" dial up number if their adsl goes down.

I wasn't aware of anything when I signed up.

Can someone give me any info please.

Thanks

Peter

As I understand it, if your problem is escalated to BT they provide you
with an 0808 number until your problem is fixed / BT say 'it wasn't us
guv'

Erm, ADSL is advertised *and sold on the premise of* being an "always-on"
service.

If it "goes down" then you cancel your contract and consult your nearest
Trading Standards Office and the Advertising Standards Authority.

And they will still be laughing hours after you put the phone down after
complaining.

Do you really expect there to be ANY system that has a guaranteed 100%
uptime?
