how do I tell exactly what firewall is blocking intallation

I keep getting a message saying that a software firewall
is interferring how do I get a list of firewalls that are
running on my computer

If you're running Windows XP, do you have the Internet Connection Firewall
enabled? Check in your network settings. Or, it could be a third-party
program, like most of the Symantec (Norton) programs or ZoneAlarm. Those
need to be totally disabled, not just an "exit" from the Systray icon.
