I recently installed a US Robatics PC card on my laptop
(running XP)and a router on a desktop in my apartment.
It was working fine for a while till apparently other
apartments set up their wireless routers. Now, my laptop
does not pick up my own router. I suspect it's because
of thrashing due to multiple sources. Is there a utility
sw that I can download to scan for all possible sources
and choose the one I want?

Thx,

-Sia

Make sure you enable and start Wireless Zero Configuration in Control
Panel/Administrative Tools/Services, then use the built-in capabilities of
XP to administer the card. If you have further issues, please post to one
of the general networking newsgroups like
microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web. This newsgroup supports Microsoft's
Broadband Networking hardware and software only.
