What do I need?

Hi,

Whilst I can use ECIADSL driver to get my USB Fujitsu ADSL modem working
with Linux, I'd like to be able to just install Ubuntu and it detect and
connect me to the internet automatically.

Can someone please explain what I need to be able to do this? Do I need to
fit an internal ADSL modem or what?

Any ideas greatly appreciated.
