HI

Sorry if I sound thick but I have a BB set-up with two PC's wireless
networked but need to add a third PC.

I have been told to get an ADSL wire free router.

But does a router act as a modem as well?

If not I will have two bits of hardware hanging around or can I get a router
and modem combined.

Any recommendations and help appreciated.

Ken

Have a look at www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk, where they clearly distinguish
between wireless routers (for cable) and wireless ADSL modem/routers (for
ADSL!) and have some basic explanations of the differences.

Not always.

You do have to be careful when buying.

You certainly can.

There are those suggested by Sunil, plus various others (I use a 3Com
3CRWE754G-72, they are also readily available from Linksys, D-Link,
Draytek, and others).

Misco <www.misco.co.uk> are one good site to buy (prices are excluding
VAT), others have recommended other sites.

Yes there are many combined products. See 'reviews' on
www.adslguide.org.uk/reviews/

What I presume that you want is a 'Combined ADSL modem/router/Wireless Access
Point'
