Hi

As subject, do MAC codes expiry? Do they have to be used within a certain
period?

I have read that they expire after one month! Not good for ISPs such as
Orange who will charge for MAC issuing - after the first free one!

Not sure! Their latest "T&C" update mentioned this potential cost.

However, as the first MAC code is free, it should hardly affect anyone

They can do what they want but it cannot obstruct the issuing of the mac
code so for example 12 month contract ISPs will give you a mac but pass the
breach charges to an external collection agency if you refuse to pay.
