Kind of reminds me of a Will Rogers quote, something like: "The problem
with this country is that too many kids don't believe in Santa Claus,

But seriously, though, there really is a Santa Claus...oops, I mean
there really are plenty of free Wi-Fi hotspots around. Take a look at
www.wififreespot.com to see if they list anything close to you. You
also might check out the hotspot finder at
www.jiwire.com, although
their free hotspot listings aren't as extensive yet. In addition, you
should look at the website of your local public library system, or call
them up and ask if they offer wireless access at any of their branches.
More and more of them do. And are there any Panera Bread restaurants
near you? Most of them are free hotspots now.
It's a safe bet that if you live where there's enough demand for
wireless Internet access for T-Mobile to sell it, someone else is giving
it away for free. It's only a matter of finding out who. Good luck.
