Why can't I use my internal (dsl) modem to connect to my wireless router ?
Getting nowhere so far as a conexant usb modem un-installs the pci
conexant's modem and can't install the USB modem. Any ideas ?

I have in tcp/ip enterted a 192.1868.x.x number than I meant to be able to
control setting from IE by typing in http://192.168.x.x but I don't get
there, any ideas also ?

What are you trying to achieve exactly ?

Does the wireless router connect to the net, ie. does it have a built in
modem ?

You may need a wireless network card rather than an internal modem.

you should be able to connect an internal dsl modem to a wireless
router via an ethernet card.

why do you want a USB modem ?

the internal modem should get an external IP address from the ISP, the
ethernet card will pick up an IP address from the wireless router if
it does DHCP or if you're trying to use ICS the ethernet card will be
assigned 192.168.0.1 by Windows and you need the wireless router on
192.168.0.x addresses too ie set it to be a DHCP client not a server.

Do you have a working broadband connection on the PCI modem ?
