how do i configure my colinux networking?

the colinux network manuals all around gives different ways to
configure the network pls can someone give me a precise network
configuration for colinux 0.6.x for windows xp sp2/2000 sp4 with
winpcap installed full info including nameserver config? pls i need it
cus there r so many confusing techniques.thanks
