I have a PC that is connected to SBC DSL thru an ethernet connection/phone
line. I want to add wireless capability so we can use our 2 laptops from
another room. Please tell me what to do after I buy the router - does it
hook up with/through the PC, or does it just "sit there" with the DSL
modem/ethernet connected to it? (I don't have any idea if my pc is
"wireless" capable, but we do have wireless cards on the laptops.) I would
appreciate some advice on this; thanks in advance!

A wireless router must have a direct link with an internet modem. It is very
likely that it is an ethernet connection from the router to your router.
Because you wish to use TWO laptops with the wireless connection u must have
a HOST computer (a computer that is mainly "in charge" of the network
configuration) if you are running windows XP then this can be done be
clicking START > CONTROL PANEL > NETWORK CONENCTIONS, and then click in the
elft panel menu "set up a home or small office network". From this setup u
can select that u want to use a wireless network and make sure that ur router
is PLUGED IN!

Hope this information has been usful to you.
