Is it a standard faceplate, with just a phone socket on, or is it one
with an integral splitter?

Standard faceplate.

The NTE5 splitter faceplate is £10-£15, from www.clarity.it or
www.solwise.co.uk or I Noticed one on Ebay today at £4.99 starting bid (not
mine).

Forgot to say the clarity one (£15) is identical to the one BT would have
fitted on an engineer install.

Where the NTE9 was maybe. They should have replaced the HH faceplate with a
standard one.

I got him to leave the cable cable in place, routed it over one hole to
hide it and used the other hole to help mount a standard extension socket.
He kroned it in for me too. Saved finding the filler, LOL.

Same in my case, though he actually only fitted the bottom bit, and
threw the rest of the NTE5 in my bin. Given I still had the lower
bit of the face plate from my HH installation (that also went into
my bin). I now have a spare NTE5 complete with BT logo in case I ever
move to a house without an NTE5.

Of course the moment he left the house I wipped out my splitter
faceplate from Clarity and fitted that, using the wire from the
NTE5 to what where the NTE9 was to carry the ADSL signal to my
computer. I had him leave that behind, and given it went under
the floor he seemed only to happy to oblige.
