i'm interested in switching to 802.11a because of interference in my
condo, but i remain concerned about security. since most APs added WPA
after they were released, it's often a vague reference in the changelog
and no documentation or screenshots are provided in the user guides.

for example, at
http://www.linksys.com/download/vert...5ag_fw_ver.txt "Added
Security support AES/TKIP/RADIUS encryption (802.11g)" this seems to
imply it only works via 802.11g.

i'm looking for a good tri-band access point which can support
simultaneous 802.11g and 802.11a clients, both using wpa. any
suggestions?

You may wish to investigate WI-FI Certified Products:

If you want to block unauthorized users, you might want to try our WIFI
internet access blocker at http://www.myWIFIzone.com. It's in beta test
stage but it's free...
