Hi guys,

I'm having a real bitch of a time over here. Very frustrated.

I had a SBS server working great. However, I noticed that in the To Do
list there was "Internet Connection". So I went through the Internet
Connection Wizard, and now there I'm having problems with DNS
forwarding. I entered the right ip addresses for the forwarders, and I
can ping them too. By the way, these are my ISP forwarders. The server
is actually connected to a firewall, yes with both UDP and TCP port 53
open. Instead of using the ISP's dns servers for forwarders, I've tried
using the firewall - still no go.

There is nothing is the event logs.

Any help would MUCH be appreciated. One of my thoughts was that maybe
the SBS's internal firewall (if it has one, I'm sure it does) is not
allowing DNS.

Thanks a lot,
Mike

You might be safer asking this in an SBS Group. SBS is so heavily
dependent on the "Wizards" that you risk a real mess fooling with it without
the Wizards. Also what is "true" in a regular Windows Server may not be
"true" with SBS.
