Hi NG,

Im having issues all of a sudden on our netwoek whoch has come to light
since we have started using DFS.

The repliction is having problems every so often saying it is unable to find
the other partner to replicate to . I get in the event log id 13508 and then
complete slow downs of the DFS replicating...

I have tried doing a ipconfig /registerdns But after a little while i get
the id 11156 the wierd thing being though even as it shows all the general
setting correct etc it says it sent the update to 192.175.48.1 This IP isnt
on our network at all. I guess the bottom line and possible answer is where
the hell is that IP address coming from and how do i change it ..?

Any help apreciated as im totally stumped now....

Glen.

If I'm following you correctly, this IP is what is listed on this server for
DNS in the properties of TCP/IP.

run ipconfig /all

Is this IP listed as one of the DNS servers?

hi again,

After doing some scouting around on goggle I found out that it is a rogue IP
that is dropped in by default if there DNS is setup wrong.

After double checking and re configuring all seems fine now.

Thank again for the help.

Glen.
