I am told that pstore.exe is a relatively important system file for controlling
passwords. However I am sure it, a corrupted instance of it, or a spybot trying
to use it was the problem. And I haven't had any password problems yet.
The freeze happened with any browser, but not email, telnet, ftp, etc., so it
was very specific system protocol stuff.
