DNS cache

Microsoft outlook recently stopped working. Error message is "unable to
cooncect to server". Wireless connection working fine for internet borwsing &
connection appears strong. When tried to "repair" connection got message
cannot proceed because "cannot clear DNS cache. Contact network
admninistrator". Grateful for advice on how to sort this in very simple terms
please. Thanks!
