DNS Backup and Restore

Hi,

I am trying to backup the DNS from one server and restore to another (Not an
active directory). I don't see any option in the DNS mmc console. I have 5-6
domains setup already and don't want to to add those again manually, can
someone show me or give me a link to that has instructions?

It´s quite easy to backup DNS zonedata. It´s built upon plain textfiles so
you can just copy the folder c:\windows\system32\dns\ with all of it´s
files.

Be sure to stop the DNS service first though.

And to restore the zonedata just stop the service and copy the data back
in.
