I have a system that can ping (and tracert) an IP address
but not a domain name through the NIC. I replaced the NIC
and get the same result. I've tried a few different DNS
configurations. (Taken from other systems that work.)

IE does not work at all.

The modem would not work at all. On the 3rd replacement
I'm getting connected and I can ping IP and domain names.
However IE still does not work.

Any suggestions? Please.

Is IE configured to use a Proxy server?
