Try to add the other computer as a user and then give it full access. This
may not be the correct solution, but it worked for me when I was tearing my
hair out trying to get several Win2K and 98 machines to talk to each other.
( may not be exact steps but you'll find your way)
Computer Management/Local Users and Groups/ Users Action - Add New User
then enter the exact name of the computer ( the name the laptop saw for
example)
