Dlink router repeater mode

I am trying to tie into a dsl connection about 1 mile away. I can get
a signal no problem with my antenna set up. I would like to leave the
non wireless router in place for the ADSL connection and use my DLink
614+ router to send the wireless signal to a wireless card or access
point tied to my antenna at home. Is it feasable? do I run a cat5 from
1 router to the other and turn off DHCP, do I also have to do anything
with IP addresses. I am trying to minimize the hassle at the guys
place I would be sharing the connection with so that is why I would
like to leave all his existing equipment in place. Reason for all this
setup is that ADSL stops 2 houses from my place.

what entenna's are you using? I am in the process of doing the same thing.

I am using a couple of Surecom flat panel directional antenna's 13 dbi.
