Can anyone tell me how I can Telnet into my Dlink G604T and send a command
to block/allow access to one of my P.C.'s that is connected directly to one
of the routers ports please??

Many Thanks

If it supports the Telnet protocol and the IP is 192.168.1.1 then; telnet 192.168.1.1 but
it has to support Telnet. Most Routers just support http. As to blocking a particular PC,
RTFB.

The G604T does support Telnet and runs BusyBox Unix. I can connect via
Telnet with no problem. Unfortunately 'TFB' doesnt tell me what I need to
know. The question is more "what command do I need using Telnet, to close
down a port on my G604T or block a MAC address from using it" rather than
"Can I use Telnet". but thanks for your help.

D

Unless the Telnet front end has a menu driven utility or a command interpreter, I doubt you
can do it with a Telnet console. If the Router is cabable, the likely solution would be
through a http GUI.
