I am trying to use a DWLG800AP as a repeater.
The config goes fine, set to repeater mode, finds the AP etc.

However when I set it up, the clients can see it and the signal is great but
they cant get an IP from the AP.

I am using a DI-624 AP and DWLG120 clients.

I would love any tips from amyone else using a G800AP

If you watch the traffic counters, do you see transmit packets but no
receive packets? That's the problem I'm getting with my G800APs...

[There's a promised firmware upgrade due the end of this month, but I
can't get anyone to admit it, as D-Link's tech support has a policy of
being as unhelpful as possible, and referring all "difficult"
questions to their phone support.]

If you're seeing transmitted packets, but not received packets, then you
haven't associated with the AP. Turn off WEP and WPA. Reboot everything.

Ron Bandes, CCNP, CTT+, etc.

Or the AP is wedged due to firmware bugs. Repeatable (pardon the pun)
DWL-G800AP firmware bugs.

None of them are on. Yes, rebooting the AP works, but that's hardly
an answer.
