DLINK DWL-120+ Encryption in ADHOC mode only?

Hi,
I'm having a lot of problems connecting the DLINK DWL-120+ (Wireless
USB connection) to an ORIGO 8210 ADSL router when using encryption.

The network of 3 computers,
1 with the dwl-120+,
2 with dwl-610's (wireless network cards)
works fine in un-encrypted & Infastructure mode ,
but as soon as the dwl-120+ tries encryption, the network link is
broken (ie a red cross on the connection).

The only time the dwl-120+ works is when it's in ADHOC mode (which is
what Tech Support said to do, but the 8210 doesn't support ADHOC mode)

Has anyone got the DLINK DWL-120+ working encrypted in Infastructure
mode?

Or can anyone recommend another manufacturer who supports this?

ps I've tried downloading the latest drivers, turning of XP's Wireless
Zero Configuration, turning off "let Microsoft work out wireless
settings (or something similar), changed from 128 to 64
encryption,changing channel, etc, etc
