Has anyone had success with this Bluetooth Access Point? I have connected
mine to my router (DSL-504) and all lights - on the AP and the router -
suggest that all is well. However, when I log on to the router, there is
no sign of the AP i.e. its MAC is not listed in the DHCP allocation table
and therefore no IP address is assigned. The AP has no configuration
parameters and is supposed act like any other DHCP client when attached
to a network, so I would expect to see an IP address for it. Or am I
missing something obvious?
My PC, Clie and PowerBook will pair with the AP, but, of course, won't
connect to the LAN/internet. The PC reports that it has found no services
on the AP - which seems logical, given that the AP doesn't appear to be
present on the LAN. The Clie suggest either a cable or a modem error -
but I can't be certain that my configuration is correct. Haven't really
tried to connect the PB yet.
Before I ask for my money back, I want to check the experience of others
to see if it's me or the unit... or whatever...
