Hi,

Which software can revitalize old 64/128Mb classroom computers to boot
quickly and works against a Windows 2003 Application Terminal Server?

I would like hints on widely used and (almost) trouble-free client software
(also thirdparty) for this scenario.

thanks for comments and hints

Rod

You can install the RDP client on these computers and access the Windows
2003 Application Terminal Server. I assume they are running Windows.

Well, without a disk they can hardly run windows ;-)

I hoped for solutions which would bott from the network and download a
minimal software OS enaugh to run as a Terminal Client / Remote Desktop from
a Win TS

Well, maybe Windows XP embedded edition? I have no ideas of the details
but I think a Linux/UNIX solution would certainly be easier in this case.
With that low of a memory footprint it will need to be a quite pared down
distribution with no KDE or Gnome. Not sure what your abilities are in
this area. Not sure if that'll work against a non-citrix server

In fact they can, with software solution such as Neoware Image Manager,
the successor of Qualystem LAN-PC 3

More details on Neoware web site:

Hope this helps
