Disk-setup for Squid

Hello group.
I'm about to setup a Squid proxy for around 700 users at our campus. I read
the manual, but I'm not sure what it says about the disk-setup. Should I go
for a RAID0 or 5 setup, or is it faster to not use RAID at all on the
cache-disks, and simply tell squid to place the cache-directory on lets say
5 different disks?

Thanks in advance
Keller
