Hi,
Employees can browse to any depth in any folder on the server, not good!
Need to disable or limit this.I have tried , but I cannot find an answer . I
need to disable browse feature on certain folders on the w2k Domain
controller. 10 workstations. 7 are XP pro, 3 are W98Se. If I cannot do it
per folders of my choice , then I must do it globally. But how?
Thanks so much
Frank

how do you setup permission on the server? also posting the result of net share on server here may help.

Robert,
I simply wanted to know if their is a way to Disable browsing, that's all. Do you mean that I need to look at share permissions for the OU to accomplish this?
Thanks,
Frank

All folders and/or files which are shared will show up unless you hide
them. That is what the browser was designed to do - display all resources
which are available.

It's quite simple. Disable the computer browser service on all machines.
Or, if you don't need it, disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP on all machiens.
