Directory monitor and notifier

Hi there, Is there some software or scripts that you can recommend
that will monitor a directory and notify me when someone accesses it?
Even if they don't have permission, I still want to be notified if
they attempt to access it...Thanks!

Have you considered file/folder auditing? You may have noticed it in the
Advanced dialogue box on a file or folders Security tab.

I agree completely. Auditing is the way to go on this. It will tell you
everything you need to know and can be pushed out as a group policy. I
wouldn't bother with scripting on this one.
