Hi,
After reading over the various IETF documentation of diffserv, I am
confused by the Microsoft implimentation.
The GQOS apears to define a use of the dscp field that is contrary to
the intended use specified by the IETF. And most notably, one of the
Microsoft defined dscp marks conflicts with an IETF defined mark.
(Controled Service vs AF22 which is a 'medium' trafic clasifier, refer
to documents at
http://www.ietf.org/html.charters/diffserv-charter.html)
I can so far only come to the conculsion that the Microsoft
implimentation is not diffserv compliant? This is causing problems for
me in setting up trafic filters for a router with mixed OS hosts.
Is there any way to configure XP/200x to use the correct IETF dscp
marks? Or a reliable way to identify and convert dscp fields using
GQOS marks?
