HI,
i have have a domain based network running windows 2003 server, and the dns
service is running in my domain controller, i try to implement isa server
2000 in a windows 2000 server as stand alone server for firewall.
i don't know if it's ok to set up the isa server pc as dns server aswell, if
i do it, is there any posibility for a collision betwen the two dns servers??

Best regards,

Just have everything,...including the ISA,... use *only* the AD/DNS and
*nothing* else. Make sure the ISA has a Protocol Rule and a Site & Content
Rule that lets the AD/DNS make outbound DNS queries to the ISP's DNS. The
Rules must be anonymous (not specific users)

The AD/DNS will simply use the ISP's DNS as a forwrder by adding it to the
forwarders list.

DNS's don't "collide",...they don't go anywhere, they are passive.

Seriously consider replacing ISA2000 with something more "usable" like
ISA2006.
