Did my wireless card just crap out?

Okay, seemingly randomly, my computer no longer sees any wireless networks
whatsoever. (which stinks, since I don't even have a landline) ditto if I
turn off the firewall. The only thing that happened last night was a java
update, but I can't imagine how that would have changed things. At least my
corner cafe has ethernet ports.

This has happened before but never for more than an hour, and I always
figured it was some sort of interference... but it's been 24 hours now.

I'm guessing my wireless card has crapped out?

if you think it was the java update, uninstall it /use system
restore to a point before the update. What happens?

Does the device show in device manager?
did it get turned off? disabled?

posting the text output of ipconfig /all might be helpful.

Device does show up and is enabled.
Have tried restore yet, but will do so. (I doubt it could be java)
Hmm - when I try ipconfig, the window pops up for less than a second and
then disappears.

Okay, I got home from work today, turned on the machine and it works fine.
What's UP WITH THAT?? I didn't system restore, didn't do a thing since my
last post.
