Dialling into a W2K POP3 Server (OT)

Sorry to disturb on a non Linux problem, but I have had good advice here
before and do not know where else to go.

I sent the query below to <comp.os.ms-windows.networking.misc> but did
not get a single reply, and would be grateful for advice or pointers
where I could continue my research.

(I have in fact been tempted many times to switch one of my servers to
Linux but can never find the time to learn - maybe tomorrow....)

I have a PC with a POP3 server running.

I would like to be able to let someone dial-in via a modem to collect
their mail from the POP3 server, and obviously, would like to restrict
them from doing anything else on that PC or on the network to which it
is connected.

Any advice greatly welcome, both on the setup to allow the dial-up to
happen and on the security lock-down.

It should not matter what OS is used as PPP or POP3 client. I know I was
able to install the native DUN server (from Win95 CD) so I could dial into
Win95 with PPP (from Windows or Linux). I also used NAT32 to be able to
access the LAN from there, but you apparently do not want that capability.

For WinNT/2k/XP/2003 you probably need a server version (instead of
workstation) to do dialin RAS. I know nothing about that, but I would
think that someone on a Windows newsgroup would.

I do know that you can do dialin with mgetty in Linux.
