DI-714P+ problems

Hi!

I recently bought a DI-714P+ and a DWL-650+. My problem is that the 714
silently dies on the WLAN, either when transferring data or just after
some hours of inaction.

What happens is either that the 650 does not find the 714 at startup, or
just looses connection when ftp:ing a large file. I've tried with the
short-preamble option to no avail. I've tried 4 or 5 channels, just in
case. Today I've been trying the 4x mode and that doesn't improve
things.

What does improve things is when I use "Continues Access Mode". "Maximum
Power Save" is guaranteed to drop.

What really is annoying is that when the connection has dropped, only a
reboot of the 714 will temporarily heal things.

Furthermore, this is the second 714 unit in action. The first had the
same problems but ceased entirely to work the WLAN after four days. If
you ever see this in your log, beware:
ACX100 Redio Image Init Error
ConfigRxConfig Error
ConfigCurrRegDomain Error
EnableTX Error
EnableRX Error
WIRELESS START ERROR

So, I'm now on my second 714P+, the WLAN is dying again and again. The
previous I had running on firmware 1.22 and 1.23. This on 1.23 alone.

Any good advice would be appreciated. Is the DI-614+ with a separate
print server a better option?

Thanks,
/Micke

I am on my first 614+, and have been for more than a year now!
It works just fine, even with two 900AP+'s connected. I have one
900AP+ in the basement and one on the top floor and they work just
fine thru the 614+ just fine. Just a small network here, 15 on line
right now, one of them being a dual processor server.
I have a mix of wired, wireless and thru the AP.
