I have a small linux box that I'm using with dhcpd (3.0...). That machine is
sitting in my closet and is mostly used as a file server for a few machines
around the house. My internet will come from a windows xp machine through a
dial-up connection (I can't get a faster connection at home). Before I put
in this box, my win xp would act as a dhcp server (even though it didn't
claim to have one running) but it was able to share internet access to my 2
other machines. Now I'm guess that the machines are trying to use the linux
box as the gateway, how do I fix that?

Set the linux box to deal out the correct gw address. /etc/dhcpd.conf, if my
memory serves me correctly.

Set/change the "option routers" value :

example:

subnet 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
option routers 192.168.0.1;
}

Regards
