DHCP service problem ...

Well i have been facing this problem that when ever i shutdown my DHCP
server for maintaince workstations go offline within an hour, or after they
restart & server isnt available ? why is this .. my lease period is 15 days
this shouldnt happen right ?

Your right this shouldnâ€™t happen.
You'll need to check your clients to see why they are trying to renew their
leases.
