DHCP Server on W2k

I have a child domain run by 2 servers. The 2k3 server is a print server(7
printers), DC, file server, and DNS server for 300+ users, and 100
workstations. The 2k server runs only DHCP but is on an old Pentium 2 box.
Does having the DHCP services on an old box and running on 2k Server affect
the performance? Should I remove the 2k box and use the 2k3 server for DHCP
or would it be best to try and find another more powerful PC to run the DHCP
services?

In my experience DHCP takes virtually no CPU power. As long as it's
responding to the DHCPDiscovers you are good to go.

I personally would upgrade the older box to 2k3 and distribute my services
accross both machines.

to setup win2k3 in any machine u must have at least P3/750 MHz & 128 Ram

so i think the best solution its to find a powerful pc and install win2k3 on
it

Thank you both. That's all I needed to hear.
