Could we have more details please? What device is running DHCP? What
operating system are the clients? What type of network connection? Did this
ever work?
Any error messages? Anything in the event logs?

The device that is running the DHCP server is a Windows
2003 server and it is domain controller. The clients
operating system is Win XP. This works only if I insert a
static IP. The trouble is that a canīt ping the domain
controller nor any machine on the network. Forthermore,
the IP that was attributed to the machine is a Private IP
Addressing - APIPA. I've gone over the DHCP server and
found no errors in the log files.

Is your win 2003 server multihomed?
Does it have more than one NIC?
Did you Authorise DHCP Server?
Can the Server ping the client?
further posting the results of ipconfig /all from the
server would help in faster responses to your
problem.

Try moving your DHCP server to a machine that is not an AD machine. This
was the only way I could get DHCP to work on my network after upgrading
servers to 2003.

Did you authorise the DHCP server?
What scope you have added? And did you
authorize the scope too?

The DHCP server is authorized .
I didn't add any new scope. The only scope that I have is
the following: 10.1.0.1 - 10.1.0.244
Authorizing the DHCP server also authorizes the scope?
If not, where do I go to authorize the scope.

Sorry, I actually meant, 'Active' the scope (not 'Authorize) When you start
DHCP Manager do you see a down arrow around it? If yes, then scope is not
activated and you need to select it first by single click, then right click
and select 'Activate'.

However, from what you inform it must be already activated, you can just
check to be sure.

However, your NICs have static IP addresses of 10.1.0.2 and 10.1.03.
So either you should add these two IP's in exclusion range, or you should
change the scope to Start IP 10.1.0.4 , end IP 10.1.0.254.

If the DHCP is authorized, scope is activated, then , is the DHCP Bound
to NIC 1 (having IP of 10.1.0.2)?
To check, in DHCP manager, right click on your servername, chose properties.
Click on Advance Tab. There click on Bindings. Check that it, binding
for 10.1.0.2 is checked.

Yes, I checked the scope is active.

My NICs have static IP's and these IP's are included in an
exclude IP range: 10.1.0.1 - 10.1.0.10.

The binding for 10.1.0.2 is checked, I verified.
