DHCP Server shuts off automatically

We are having a problem with our SBS 2003 server. We're running the DHCP
server service to assign IP addresses, and a few days ago, it suddenly
started shutting itself off. In the services console, it is disabled, we
have to put it on automatic and then start the service again. It shuts off
after what seems to be an undetermined amount of time. Sometimes within the
next 2-3 hours, sometimes after 12 hours.

Here are the event entries we're getting:

Date: 9/12/2004 Source: Service Control Manager
Time: 2:42:13PM Category: None
Type: Information Event ID: 7035
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: DELOITTEDXBFPS

Description:
The DHCP Server service was successfully sent a stop control.

Next Event:
Date: 9/12/2004 Source: Service Control Manager
Time: 2:42:14PM Category: None
Type: Information Event ID: 7036
User: N/A
Computer: DELOITTEDXBFPS

Description:
The DHCP Server service entered the stopped state.

No events are related to the DHCP service before or after the above events.

Could someone help?

Thanks,
Eddy

If someone could please give me some hints at least, because we're really
desperate. Any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks

Have you posted in the sbs newsgroup? It could be an SBS limitation. Is
the SBS server running as the first/only DC in the domain (this is an SBS
essential)? Is the DHCP service registered with AD?
