Hello

I have a site with a SBS server 2003, DHCP is authorised, and enabled, there
are no errors in the event logs apart from RRAS stating it cannot find a DHCP.

this server has been working on the test bed for 1 month without fail, the
server was installed on site worked for 2 days but has now stopped serving
dhcp, just to test I put a router on the same net...clients got IP address
from the router !!

Any ideas ?

Thanks

John

Since this is an SBS Server i have to ask. Is ISA server installed on this
server?
Could it be blocking DHCP requests?

Temporarily allow full access to everyone on the server.
I had a similar issue and found that doing this fixed the issue. Then i
realized i had to move some of my rules around so DHCP wouldn't get blocked.

Hello

I've allowed all to everywhere !!

All users, all protocols

Int - local
local - int

etc

Exactly the same

This is my 24th individual site....most sbs but a few are w2k/w2003, never
come accross this problem before, its almost like there something else on the
net screwing it up.....might try some network monitoring next (Ethereal or
the such)

Thanks

John

Also should mention the Routing and Remote access server also cannot see the
DHCP, they are both located on the same server.

Thanks

John
