Hi there,

How can I set up a DHCP relay agent on a subnet that has no DHCP server?

Subnet A has a DHCP server, the router is not BOOTP compatible, and I need
to set up a relay agent on subnet B.

How do I do this if there is no DHCP server on subnet B?

Do I have to install a Windows 2003 regardless, or can I use an existing XP
Pro workstation?

Thanks,

Gordon

You need a Server version of Windows. In Win 2000 and 2003 the relay agent
is configured through Routing and Remote Access. There may be third party
products which will run on XP Pro.
