Hi!
I have a 1 domain network with 2 subnets. one subnet is in a remoote
location. We have 2 DHCP servers both on the same subnet. one is serving
addresses for subnet 1 and the other on subnet 2. the problems are on subnet
1 where the servers reside. when clients log on in the morning, especially
after beeing away for a longer periond of time, when they log on they either
don't get a default gateway, or no address at all. usually after one reboot
they work fine, but occationally several reboots and setting a manual
address, then when network connectivity is verified , go back to leasing an
address. This problem seem to affect different machines with different NICs.
At first the NIC was the prime suspect, but not anymore since more machines
are affected by this problem. Subnet 2 occationally, but much less frequent,
get the same problem. This is really getting annoying to us and all help is
much appreciated!
Rgds, Hasse Edqvist.
Pls reply to my e-mail as well.
